Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Pintej is a digital coloring app and related website published by Onywave, the controller of your personal data. This policy covers pintej.app and the iOS app. It complements the Terms of Use.

2. Audience and age

Pintej is made for a mixed audience of teenagers and adults, and is rated 13+ on the stores. Below 13, the app should only be used with a parent or legal guardian, who remains responsible for it. We show no ads and do not target children under 13. The newsletter is for ages 15 and up.

3. Website

On pintej.app we limit collection to data needed to run the site and actions you start.

• Identity and contact when you sign in with Google or contact support (name, email, profile picture if applicable).
• Technical session, security, and browser compatibility data.
• Local preferences (light/dark theme).
• Waitlist signup: the email address you provide.

4. App — use without an account

Pintej works without an account: your books and colorings then stay on your device only. An account (Apple, Google or email) is needed for AI generation, credits and, where applicable, the gallery. Multi-device sync is not offered at launch.

5. Data processed in the app

Depending on what you use:

• Account: email, name, profile picture and the sign-in ID Google or Apple sends us. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your address: we then receive a relay address provided by Apple.
• Content: books, colorings, imported photos when you sync or publish them. They remain yours.
• Usage and technical: usage events, device type, OS, app version, diagnostic logs.
• Purchases: transaction IDs, amount and the status of your purchases, including Lifetime Premium (App Store / Google Play / RevenueCat in the app, Stripe on the website). We never receive your card details.

6. Artificial intelligence

When you turn a photo into a coloring page or generate an illustration, the image and instruction are sent to generative AI providers (often outside the EU) that run the computation for us. We do not sell or hand over your photos, and we do not use them to train our own models. Prefer not to send a photo? Skip those features — the rest of the app works without them.

7. Advertising and consent

Pintej does not show ads at the moment and collects no advertising ID. If ads are offered later, your choices will be collected separately (Google UMP form in Europe and, on iOS, App Tracking Transparency), and this policy will be updated first.

8. Sharing and providers

We do not sell your data. It is shared only with technical providers needed to run the service (hosting, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, RevenueCat, Stripe, AI providers, Sentry, transactional email) and with authorities where the law requires it. Some providers are outside the EU; those transfers are framed by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision).

9. Retention

Account and synced content: for as long as the account exists. After an in-app deletion request: erasure after the announced cooling-off period. Technical logs: a few months at most. Purchase records: kept by Apple / Google / RevenueCat / Stripe under their legal duties, and by us for the period required by law.

10. Cookies (website)

The site uses Vercel Analytics for performance-oriented measurement. Google Analytics loads only after an explicit choice on the cookie wall, which you can change later in the footer. See also our cookie policy.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent. Account and cloud deletion is available in the app. For other rights or questions, contact us via the link below. You may also complain to your national data-protection authority (in France: CNIL).

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The version in force is the one published here with its date. Substantial in-app changes may require a new acceptance.
