Christmas gift idea

A Personalized Christmas Coloring Book Made From Your Photos

Turn this year’s family photos into a Christmas coloring book the kids will actually want to open. Pick the pictures, choose a style, add a cover with your family’s name, and print it at home.

There’s nothing to order and nothing to wait for in the mail. That’s the whole point: it’s still a real gift if you only get to it on the evening of December 24th.

The browser trial needs a Google sign-in. The app is coming to iPhone first.

From a family photo to a page to color

Here’s what Pintej does with a cozy family photo: it keeps the people and the moment, and turns them into clean outlines with closed areas, ready to fill in.

How to make it before Christmas Eve

  1. 1

    Choose 8–12 photos

The tree, a snowy walk, grandparents, the dog in a Santa hat. Clear faces and simple backgrounds work best.

  2. 2

    Turn them into pages

Pick a style (Normal, Manga or Comic). Each photo becomes a page with bold black lines.

  3. 3

    Lay out the book

In the Studio, set the page order, add a cover and a title like “The Miller Family Christmas”.

  4. 4

    Print it at home

Export a PDF (A4, A5 or mini-book) and print the whole book or just the pages you want.

A last-minute gift with no shipping

Most personalized coloring books are printed and shipped, which means ordering in early December and hoping the parcel arrives. A Pintej book is a file you print yourself, so there’s no delivery date to miss.

You need a printer and some paper. For markers, 120 gsm paper (about 32 lb) stops the ink from bleeding through.

A Christmas Eve activity for the kids

Print a few pages after dinner on the 24th and let the kids color themselves, their cousins and the tree. It keeps everyone busy while the grown-ups finish wrapping — and the pages make a good keepsake afterwards.

  • One page per child, with their own photo
  • A page of the whole family for everyone to color together

Cover ideas

  • “The Miller Family Christmas 2026”
  • “Grandma & Grandpa’s Christmas”
  • “Our First Christmas in the New House”
